It’s truly amazing how beautiful the day was yesterday. It’s hard to believe that it’s the end of February and we had a seventy degree day yesterday here in middle Georgia. I forced myself to get out of my building for five minutes and just take a walk around campus. There were a handful of buds on trees and shrubs. A brisk, warm breeze was blowing over the lake and it truly felt like spring in the air.
It was a bit of a short winter. A few more freezing days and nights would have helped kill off some of the icky bugs that live in the woods. But I’m looking on the bright side
and thinking about how to shape my new yard. Spring is truly when I gear up with gardening so I’m looking forward to digging in the dirt and creating beautiful things both to eat and to look at. And of course, I’ll see what I can do to include fluffy flowers in the mix.
