my garden

I thought y'all might be curious about my garden.

It's nestled next to an ordinary ranch house in a regular ol' subdivision.

I like to think of my garden as a work in progress.

And I'm truly trying to stuff it with fluffy flowers.

When I got the gardening bug a couple of years ago, I drug home lots of garden books from the Library.

They were often about gardens in England so I became enraptured by the English Cottage Garden.

I've been working my way toward that overstuffed with fluffy flowers look ever since.

I want my scrap of land to look like a garden in the English Cotwolds.

And I've been reading, planting, learning and struggling to make the magic happen.

After lots of trial & error, I'm finally seeing things come together in my deep south, zone 8 garden.

And, amazingly, I'm making those fluffy flowers grow.

I've been determined to figure out how to make my garden come alive.

And it truly amazes me that it's actually happening.

I want to surround myself with beauty.

And, of course, I want to fill my life with fluffy flowers.

WOw your garden has certainly come a long way. I too, love the English style, secret, over wrought gardens!! My thumb is not so green!!

Thanks Natasha! My thumb used to not be green too so it is definitely possible to learn :)
