The Festival of Camellias continues with a very special tour inside Landscaped Greenhouse at Massee Lane Gardens.
But before we go in I must mention this amazing pink quince growing along the path that leads to the door.
Now I know this greenhouse doesn't look like much on the outside but just wait until we open the door to display it's wonders.
Ah, that's better.

So many beauties delightfully displayed in this space.

Oh be still my heart! When I set eyes on this beauty I gasped out loud. Ms. Lois Coker is a beauty! Stunning beyond words. It's worth a trip down to the gardens just to see this lady. I assure you that she is even more beautiful in person. She looks like a perfectly folded piece of origami paper, doesn't she? She is so sculptural that she'd be right at home in a modern, sophisticated garden.

Here she is in bud form giving no hint whatsoever at the beauty about to spring forth.

I asked about purchasing her but, alas, there were none to be had. Apparently she is tough to come by so an all out search will begin soon.
Haven't seen massive staghorn ferns since I left Florida.
Lovely shallow pool with plants I didn't know.
This space had a few other plants growing in it...
...like these unidentified amaryllis.

Now tell the truth, you know you want one of these greenhouses, don't you?
This is the most unusual camellia I saw during the whole visit. A yellow flower! This one was laying on the ground so we picked it up to photograph it.
But you can just see another blossom hidden way up there among the leaves.
And what about those leaves?! I thought this was a loquat shrub when I saw it. So unusual.

Loved this vignette with the staghorns and the pool.

I swear this one looks like she's flying!

I didn't want to leave.

This so much for touring this landscaped greenhouse with me. The Festival of Camellias continues soon so please stay tuned.
Oh,yes, I do want a greenhouse like that! But in Minn - YIKES - the heating bill I would have! So lovely. I'm sure I've seen camellias in person, but certainly not often. Very fun to see. Thanks.
