Thank you everyone for stopping by yesterday and partying with me to celebrate Halloween. What a blast! I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the pretty Halloween festivities happening on everyone's blogs. I've still got sugar shock but it should wear off soon as I move through the day.
The funny thing about Halloween is that the day after is a complete change. It feels like the holiday season has officially started and all thoughts turn to the Christmas that is just a few weeks away. Thankfully one of my favorite magazines, Victoria, has been brought back to life. Now I get to peruse their pages in anticipation of the festivities ahead. Oh, but first there is Thanksgiving, and before that I'd better get around to drawing names for the Halloween prize winners!
The random number generator alerts me that congratulations go out to Beachy of Cape Cod Cupboard for winning the Toys to Sew book prize pack and to Shin of A Mermaid's Blog for winning Vampire Rabbit. Congratulations ladies! And thank you again to everyone for partying down here at Fluffy Flowers.
ooooo I'm thrilled to have won little fluffy vampie! Looking forward to receiving it!

November already??? Yikes!

My MIL subscribed to Victoria as soon as she heard it was being re-released. I saw the new issue about a week ago and was pretty happy with what they had done. She, however was not so happy- saying that it still needed a LOT of improvement to equal the old issues. I figured that if I wanted "old, old Victoria magazine" back that I'd go through the many years of back issues hiding in my closet.

Love Tasha Tudor, too, so this month looks great! :)

I know what you mean,I have a friend in town and I was going to take her to this cool boutique-y area that's all pumpkined out but then I thought yikes they might very well be taking it all down to put up Christmas stuff today. I'm hoping that the pumpkins will last through thanksgiving though.

I agree that November 1 marks a profound change in the seasons. If October was orange, November is brown. At least in my neck of the woods. I wish I could read Victoria. Is it mail order only?

It was a wonderful party indeed...as always, thank you for the invite! Now, I must recover from my sugar-hangover from the "real world"

I can't believe I missed the party yesterday! And I can't believe it is November already. It doesn't feel right. Hopefully posts like this will help me get in the right frame of mind for the holiday season!

Felicia, I just got Beth the Macon Mutt in the mail today (and the little mouse!) ...THANK YOU!!!! She has a place of prestige already, overlooking the table in the kitchen where we can all see her! (I'm going to wait to see if my husband notices!). I am so happy that it's November! I'm getting in a holiday mood!

Hi Felicia, I'm still partying as there were so many guests. What fun. I love your choice for a Halloween outfit. So, so elegant. I still haven't been able to find the new magazine yet. I'm sure it will show up soon

Isn't the Victoria magazine the prettiest magazine ever. I bought mine today and was just mesmerized by all of the pretty pages, especially the Tasha Tudor dresses.

Glad your magazine is back. How many issues do they put out a year? and can you buy it in the stores?

I FLIPPED out when I saw this was back on the stands. Unfortunately, my husband, who was also shopping with me at the time, didn't think it was that exciting. What does he know??
Have a great day!!
