You know what you need to help decorate the ol' homestead this holiday season? A Christmas Spirit banner! These little ghosties are the the ones from the past, present and future. They sure are cute as bugs in rugs. And here are the instructions to make your very own.
Supplies:
3 Christmas napkins 17 inch square or Christmasy fabric
3 foam balls for heads - 2 inch diameter
6 small black glass beads for eyes
red polka dot felt for eyes
3 pieces of plain red ribbon cut to 12 inch lengths
1 piece fancy red ribbon cut to approx 32 inches
2 red buttons
red & black thread
sewing needle
My Christmas napkins came from the thrift store. The neato polka dot red felt come from the clearance section of Holly Lobby. All other supplies are from Michaels.
Use the small spool of thread to draw six round eyes on the felt. Cut out the circles. Tack the glass bead in the center of the eye with one loop of thread.
Center the foam ball in the middle of napkin to figure out where you want to place the eyes and mouth.
Sew the eyes into place. Sew on a small mouth.
Use the 12 inch plain red ribbon to tie the napkin onto the foam ball.
Sew a button on each end of the fancy red ribbon.
Evenly space the Christmas ghosts on the fancy ribbon and sew in place. I used a straight pin tacked into the wall through one of the button holes to attach the banner to the wall. Then I hung my sweater Christmas stockings on either end of the banner for extra festiveness.
Eh voilà! A fun and decorative Christmas Spirit banner to "liven" up your space. I love these little fellows so much that I've got to share. I've got one Ghost Banner and one Ghost Banner make it yourself kit to give away. Just leave a comment and I'll draw both winner's names in a few days.
Merry Christmas!
That is awesome Felicia, thanks so much for sharing!

Oh me oh my! I LOVE these ghosties!!! The combination of ghosties and Christmas works perfectly, and I would have never thought of such a thing. That's why you're the fluffiest flower in the garden. ;-)
