Thank you all so much for the thoughtful comments about my Lucky Cowdog. He has now been petted, scratched, and generally loved on, all in the name of you wonderful folks. And he thoroughly enjoyed it I can tell you! He is a very Lucky dog indeed. Oh, and yes, he really does moo when he is in desperate need of a cookie. I'll have to get that digitally captured some time.
Ya know, its been kind of creatureless around here thus far in '08. But that doesn't mean the fires haven't been burning in the Fluffy Flowers studio. Heaps of sewing's getting done in preparation for the weekly market which starts up again in April. I know that's three whole months away but I've got a lot of work to do between now and then!
I've been in the mood to try all sorts of crafty things so I started making these simple coasters. Who knew I could get so giddy over a simple square! But I've been having a tremendously fun time making these little bits of cuteness. They'll be plenty more of these pretties in the future. I can't stop myself from making them!
Oh My!!! Those are some very pretty coasters!!! They look so pretty all wrapped up in the ribbon, they are bound to be best-sellers Felicia!

First glad to hear about Cowdog! We use to have a lab who had to be on thyroid pills, otherwise we had hair lined everything! The coasters are lovely! I especially like the colors.

I've made some coasters recently too! But I used a different pattern-one which hides all the stitches. I'm hoping to get a picture posted of them soon...

Cute, cute coasters and I'm so glad to hear your puppy (despite his age -- he sounds like he's acting like a puppy) is doing much better! Don't you sometimes wish that vets, doctors, etc. would LISTEN to their patients?

Lots of catching up here...so glad that cow dog is feeling better, so hard to have a sick puppy (oh, good book named sick puppy) Anyway, are the coasters filled with anything, like lavender? They are lovely.

Isn't it funny how we get so hooked on the fun little things to sew? I did coasters too and love just the chance to play with the fabrics. You're turned out great!

Adorable! I like the prints.
Coaster-making sounds like a great way to get back into the groove after all the Christmas travel, that's for sure.

The coasters are very cute and yay for Lucky Cowdog's diagnosis and cure. Mostly cured. Thyroids are amazingly important, as I found out when mine went haywire.

What a great idea! I never thought of making coasters, but a stack of those would make a great gift.

Beautiful coasters! I considered making some a while back, 'til I realised that I would probably be more worried about getting spills on the coasters than I would our furniture...
