Last night a whole family of Fluffy Flowers creatures went rocketing around the homestead.
Usually the creatures round these parts stay pretty quiet and serene in their little corners of the world. Usually they're happy to just sit and watch the human, canine, and feline antics and listen whenever they're needed. But last night was different. They were all over the place practically vibrating with excitement.
It was tough at first to figure out what they were on about since they were yammering a mile a minute. But I managed to corner one and found out what the trouble was. Turns out they're in an all fire hurry to get to ICE Atlanta on June 7th.
"But that's still over a week away!", I protested. "I still have time to get you packed up and ready for the show. Really I do!"
But they weren't having any of it. I guess they know me too well. Probably they're afraid they'll get left behind in a flurry of detritus. And they sure don't want to be stuck in the studio any longer then they have to. You see, these are brand new creatures. Very, very new. So new in fact that only their ring leader Pinky has ever seen the light of the blog. And they don't much feel like waiting any longer.
I put on my best Fluffy Flowers mother voice and told them that they had to wait a bit longer. Well, a wild din of protest erupted from the crowd. I could see I was going to have trouble on my hands if I didn't figure something out and quick! All that little creature energy was starting to build up and I could feel static electricity reach well into the dusty studio corners. Ah ha! I thought, I've got it.
"You lot there, come gather round over here," I said.
"Y'all have got some mighty short little legs," I said as I whipped out a tape measure to find out just how short. After much muttering from both me and the crowd and a few minutes with a pencil and a piece of paper I had the answer.
I think they were holding their breath awaiting the verdict. I know their eyes were big as saucers. "I've done the calculations and I've got it figured out. If you start walking right now you'll make it to Atlanta just in time for the show." A cheer erupted from the crowd. Then there was much scurrying about trying to figure out what to take for the journey.

So I write this to you this morning dear friends after having sent off some of my sweet little creatures last night on a road trip for the show. If you're planning to attend you might keep an eye out for them by the roadside. They'll be the ones with the short legs skipping along as they whistle a tune. No need to offer them a lift though. They need to get their energy out on the journey. And we'll be reunited again next Saturday in Booth 12. Y'all drop on by and say hey to us!

You are such a creative writer. I love it. Your cute stories are so good I can't even just skim through, I could try but it's just too interesting, it's not possible. [uh-oh, did I just admit I skim through blogs... :-)]

What a great image! I love the narration. My favorite is the purple guy - super cute! You should totally turn these guys into a cartoon. They remind me of the fuzzy colorful critters from My Little Pony :)
