Headed back out to Red Top mountain again. Checked out some different trails this time. Quite a bit off the beaten path actually. And boy am I glad we did. Saw some pretty amazing plant life out there including a myriad of beautiful mushrooms.
But wow, was it ever hot! Hot as blue blazes! Those are the ones that are hottest in your campfire flame you know. Had to take a break on a rock to suck down some water.
Speaking of water, our hike took us to the lake shore where I discovered these beauties. The breeze coming off the lake was whipping these balls around like mad but I managed to snap at least one good picture. And oh how I loved that breeze. Of all the things I miss about home, its the gulf breezes that I miss the most.
This little inlet was so delightful that we couldn't help sitting for a while longer. Boat wakes out on the lake drove waves up onto the beautiful rocks. I should have taken a movie for you. Haven't figured out how to embed one into a blog post yet. Just how do you do that exactly? Technology! I swear it moves at the speed of light.
We may have stayed just a bit too long out by the water. I made the mistake of sitting in the direct sun and after four hours of hot as sin Georgia hiking, it really sapped my energy and fuzzed my brain. So near the end of the journey there was a hundred and eighty degree map error and we ended up heading the wrong way down a stream. Should have known things weren't quite right when we ran across this fellow. It was probably a sign to turn back!
Finally, nearly the end and what a treasure to find. This beautiful flower just about ready to bloom. I'm sure it's flower will be stunning. I'm so glad we revisited this delightful park. And, oh, I forgot to mention that way out there, high up on a hilltop, I saw a trio of deer. You know who they were, right? It was certainly the Youngdeer family. Indeed, turns out that we were standing in the very woods that young deer disappeared into last week.
once you have a video uploaded online, hosted somewhere (youtube or google works well), there is usually a little code that says use to embed the video. It is very simple once the video is online, most journals support the code used. You can change the size of the embedded video in the code, because sometimes the video is really pixalated, and needs to be shrunk. hope that helps.

What a beautiful hike. Make sure your water bottle isn't a #7 bottle, if it is pitch it. Toxic.
