Road trip! Managed to squeeze in a stop at Main Street Yarns in Watkinsville, Georgia.
I had no idea such a beautiful yarn shop was hidden away in the picturesque little town.
Watkinsville is a hop, skip, and a jump from Athens, Georgia, famous for bands such as R.E.M. and the B52s.
If you're planning to visit the area then definitely add this beautiful shop to your list of must sees. A break for lunch at the delightful Maison Bleu restaurant is just what you need before heading on to see some other groovy shops in town.
You will not be disappointed!
There is beautiful and inspirational eye candy everywhere! And the folks who run the place are super nice.
I even got to meet this sweet little fellow. His name is Pickles and he's got the biggest ears you've ever seen!
If you can't manage a road trip to see this fabulous place you can buy their beautiful yarns online. I felt completely refreshed after leaving that shop. Can't wait to go back!
I LOVE the color wheel of yarns!!

0.o look at all the colours! Gorgeous looking shop. I would probably spend a lot of money there on wool that would never get used. Too pretty to waste on my knitting lol

Droooooling! I love yarn shops, I always creep the workers out by just wandering around for hours before ever actually acting like I'm going to purchase anything. My brain explodes with ideas!

I get to shop here fairly often. Lovely Darilee is the wife of one of my customers. Firendly and fun folks - they are wonderful to be around -- and the little red barn is so perfect for the yarns.
Darn I am so sorry I didn't know you were coming - I wiuld have bought your lunch - or dinner.
Will you be attenting the Handmade market in madison ga on the 13th of dec. www.handcraftfestival.com? I am planning to and would love to have a group get together while we are there.
