I've been steadily making heaps of zipper pouches over the last few months. One of the things I finally perfected is making flat bottomed bags. It was a little tricky and I learned the importance of measuring. I'm so used to eyeballing stuff that I make and guestimating lengths. Couldn't do that with these bags though. I actually had to break out a ruler! But it was worth it because I love how they've turned out. Here's a sampling of my bags which you can purchase over in my Fluffy Flowers shop.
For the Guys
I love the vibrant colors of this one. Its perfect for the astronomer.
I fell in love with this fabric when I found it and bought all that they had. Mid century modern never looked so good!
Love the antique radio ones too. The little radio waves crack me up!
Shabby Chic
I made this line of Shabby Chic bags from upcycled materials. This cute bag is made from a pillowcase.
This fab bag started life a pajamas!
This stunning rose bag was made from a Rachel Ashwell sheet from Target.
Another bag from the Rachel Ashwell line in my favorite Rosalie pattern. I repaired a slipcover with the same material which I'll show you soon.
Poppy Passion
Girlfriend Road Trip
I only had one small panel of this fabric and managed to make four different bags. I love, love, love how it turned out.
Cowboys & Cowgirls
When I found this fabric I think I might have exclaimed in glee. Its so cute! And so retro! Everything I love about cowgirls.
I started looking through my fabric stash and found this awesome horsey fabric.
And I found this groovy cowboy fabric too!
And when I dug deep and found this awesome fabric I knew I had to make a line of cowboy bags. Doesn't this one remind you of old black and white TV westerns?
Bohemian
Finally, I made a few bags from a very bright and cheery fabric. I almost want to keep these for myself because I adore the pattern.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed the zipper pouch tour. I'm taking a break from making them right now but I never know when the fever will hit and I'll be on a mad dash to make more. If you see one that strikes your fancy you can invite it home from the shop.
You HAVE been busy! Do you do the thing that I do--if I get really into making something, I often cannot stop at making just one. I will find myself making, like, 20 pillowcase dresses for my two girls because I keep finding a better way to do something, and THEN I have to sell some!

Love the western themed bags! I almost bought some horseshoe fabric yesterday, but if I bought that then I had to buy all the other matching western fabric too! I resisted.
